Rehearsal Mode™ for Managers: December Cohort | Art & Soul Consulting

Live virtual manager cohort · December 1, 8 & 15

Practice the manager moments that are hardest to get right live.

Bring 1 real piece of work. Rehearse the conversations, decisions, delegation, feedback, and accountability it requires. Leave with language you've tested and a plan you can use right away.

  • 3 Tuesdays
  • 10am to 12pm ET
  • 6 live hours
  • 20 managers max

For new and experienced people managers, team leads, and project leads. No role-play for its own sake. You'll work on something you're leading right now.

You know what good management is supposed to look like. Doing it on Tuesday is harder.

  • You need to give feedback you've been rehearsing in your head for 2 weeks.
  • Everyone left the meeting agreeing, but nobody is clear on who decides.
  • You delegated it, but you're still doing half the thinking.
  • Someone said yes, didn't follow through, and now you need to address it.
  • Your team needs the truth about what's changing, including the parts you don't know yet.

That's the work we rehearse.

After 3 sessions, you'll be better prepared to…

  • Set expectations people can repeat back to you.
  • Clarify who's deciding, doing, consulting, and being informed.
  • Say the difficult thing earlier and more clearly.
  • Delegate without hovering or disappearing.
  • Hold accountability without turning every miss into a crisis.
  • Repair what's not working and carry the learning forward.

You won't practice on hypothetical leadership problems. You'll apply this to real work you're leading now.

How the cohort works

Bring 1 real thing. Leave having moved it forward.

A project. A transition. A launch. A new team. A difficult working dynamic. A change you're responsible for landing.

You'll use the same piece of work across all 3 sessions, test what you're learning between meetings, and come back with evidence from the real world.

"I'm taking over a team that already existed."

"We're changing how the department works."

"Two people think they own the same decision."

"I've been avoiding a conversation with someone on my team."

The 3 sessions

01

Build the Room

Get clear on what's happening, what the work requires, and where the people involved are starting from, including you.

02

Align the Team

Clarify goals, roles, and decision rights. Build the agreements the work needs. Rehearse the first honest conversation before you have it.

03

Lead It Through

Practice delegation, accountability, and repair. Look back honestly, decide what changes, and build your next 30 days.

Between sessions, you'll try the work with your actual team and bring what happened back into the room.

What you get

If you're the manager

Less second-guessing. More language you can use.

You leave with a conversation you've already practiced, clearer decisions about the work you're leading, reusable tools, and a completed Rehearsal Mode™ Playbook instead of another folder of workshop slides.

If you're sending managers

Give managers a way to practice before you're depending on them to get it right live.

Participants work on current organizational priorities, apply the learning between sessions, and leave with shared practices for expectations, decision-making, feedback, delegation, accountability, and reflection.

Why rehearsal?

Managers are usually asked to learn while performing: have the difficult conversation, make the call, lead the meeting, fix the breakdown.

Rehearsal Mode™ creates a place to try the language, hear how it lands, adjust, and try again before the moment is live.

Art & Soul built the method over 20+ years in professional rehearsal rooms, where people with different roles, perspectives, and pressures still have to make something work together on deadline.

From people who've done this work with us

What participants say

"I have found myself more willing to bravely facilitate difficult moments because of the foundational framework I received… which informs everything from interpersonal conversations to season selection, and everything in between."

Heather Mell
Managing Director, Greater Boston Stage Company

"I now have the language and the tools to direct with clarity, honesty, transparency, and compassion… to walk into any room, in any situation with confidence knowing that I have an approach that is clear, flexible enough to tailor to any situation and to any group I'm interacting with."
