Texture Ready · Broadway · Off-Broadway · National Tours

One standard.
Every show. Every chair.

Train your existing hair team. Build the systems. Walk away compliant and self-sufficient. We coach. Your team executes. Six hours of curriculum. Two short leadership sessions. The rest happens in the background.

01
Broadway
Open-ended runs. Multi-cast turnover. Year-over-year continuity.
02
Off-Broadway
Limited runs and extensions. Tight budgets, full standard.
03
National Tours
Different city. Different vendor. Same standard, every stop.

"Qualified" appears in every union contract.
None of them define it.

Texture Ready does. Six measurable competencies that define what qualified means at the production level. Documentation that lives in your production files. Transferable across shows, across crews, across the run.

Train your team. Build your systems.

Most producers start with the Foundation Package. The conversation tells us where you are.

TEXTURE READY™ CERTIFIED PRODUCTION STANDARD TR 2026

A brand asset for your show

Texture Ready Certified is a credential your production can use.

Productions that complete the Foundation Package receive the Texture Ready Certified mark. Use it in your Playbill, marketing collateral, press releases, investor materials, and union submissions. It signals to performers, agents, and unions that your show is built on the standard, not the heroics.

It's so great to see folks from a wide range of organizations and areas of involvement coming together to learn and share. The resources are direly needed both to help performers advocate for themselves and for producers to provide the care and consideration they should.

Elizabeth Ramirez

Eastern At-Large Councilor, Actors' Equity Association

I'm much more tuned into nuanced issues around Black hair and how NOT mainstreamed this topic is, but how "othered" it is.

Joyce Kulhawik

President, Boston Theater Critics Association

The shift for me is a new hope for the future where there is appropriate up-front work being done to protect performers with textured hair.
